EA Masters Tiger Woods

Electronic Arts has finally been given the ability to feature the courses owned by the Augusta National Golf Club, including its legendary tournament, the Masters. In fact, the Masters is the major focus for this year's upcoming Tiger Woods PGA Tour game.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters is the official name for the upcoming title, expected for release in America late March and worldwide mere days later. Most will notice from the game's boxart that the actual title of the game is less prominent than it used to be. This could be the result of Tiger Woods's martial snafu revealed in 2009, when EA Sports said that the company's relations would remain unchanged despite negative publicity. Last year, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 featured a second golfer, a first for the series. The fact that this boxart does everything except omit Tiger Woods entirely is unique, if nothing else.

The Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game contain 16 courses to golf through, and a special, PS3-exclusive Collector's Edition features an extra 5 courses for a $10 premium. However, the Wii version has the most courses of them all, featuring a total of 23 extra courses alongside Augusta National's courses. All versions of the game will focus on the Masters, including a mode in which players can experience historical shots in the Masters' history. No PC version is in development.
