Trapdoor and EA Warp Next Year

Among two other indie-centric deals announced recently, Electronic Arts has announced its deal with independent studio Trapdoor to bring its upcoming title Warp to XBLA, PSN, and PC next summer.

Trapdoor is a Quebec-based developer founded in 2008 by a group of friends who wanted to break away from big developers in order to create something unique in an environment they could call home. Warp will be the company's debut title, and it will be released under the EA Partners program.
Working with EA Partners allows us to expand our distribution to a much larger audience while still being able to retain our creative vision and identity. As an independent studio we are thrilled with the opportunity to leverage the expertise and talent of EA's publishing organization to bring our very first game on console to life.
- Ken Schachter, Founder, Trapdoor
Warp's details are slim, but what has been told is that the game is a top-down sci-fi stealth title with a focus on puzzles, a unique art style, and challenging puzzles.

Warp will be released Summer 2011 for XBLA, PSN, and PC.
