The developer's press release did not provide a lot of concrete details regarding the game itself, but the trailer demonstrates quite a bit of the game's main focus. The main character, Explodemon, has the ability to cause himself to explode, causing destruction to the area around him and especially to beings of evil in his way.
The game uses a combination of action-filled segments as well as a few physics-based puzzles which all feature their fair share of explosions, just like a number of great games, right?
An explosive homage to SNES-era platformers mixed with a modern physics-puzzle twist, Explodemon is non-stop action mayhem like you’ve never seen before. But don’t take our word for it: check out the brand new trailer to see the first footage of the game in action.Explodemon is expected to be released for PSN this upcoming Winter. While a WiiWare version was in development at the beginning, the team has frozen its development, perhaps permanently, in order to release the PSN version quickly. Curve Studios is best known for development of the Buzz! series for Sony, and while the company has been quiet about it, there are hints that it may be the team behind the Nintendo-published Fluidity for WiiWare.
